Just My Type

Just My Type is a card pairing game with gameplay modeled after Old Maid. The objective is simple: pair the typefaces with their indicated match and avoid having the infamous Comic Sans (the "Joker") in your possession!

Building the Brand

The game’s visuals are based around the digital insertion point. This modern symbol and a contemporary color palette are paired with a slab-serif headline text and subtle vintage flairs to illustrate the broad timeline covered by the game’s content.

A New Type of History Lesson

Players will learn about typefaces from various eras, classifications, and alphabets and how they’ve influenced one another throughout design history. Everyone knows about Times New Roman, but what about Plantin, the 1913 serif that was used as its model?

Just My Type is packaged in a slide-drawer box that fits 45 standard tarot sized cards. The double sided instruction sheet features how-to-play diagrams, a key for card symbols/text, and a match guide that shows each typeface pairing.
