Below are a few samples of work for PBS KIDS Digital. I worked on a variety of projects for PBSKIDS.org, the PBS KIDS Games App, and PBS KIDS for Parents! Following a Digital Design internship, I worked on contract for PBS KIDS’ Brand Licensing team.

Through designing for children's media, I gained insight into the importance of play and accessibility that I apply to every creative project I pursue.

Kart Kingdom

Kart Kingdom was an online virtual world created by PBS KIDS. Within the world of Kart Kingdom, players decorated their own space and invited their friends to play in Clanky Caverns. I created two series of in-game furniture: Back to School and Summer Fun. I designed bold, colorful objects that reflect the excitement of the back to school season and the refreshing feeling of summer! In addition, I assisted with creating a handful of illustrations for the official blog.

PBS KIDS Games App

I was also tasked with creating motion concepts for the PBS KIDS Games App. Each day, a new illustration appeared on the home page, revealing the Game of the Day thumbnail. Below are a few of my ideas for animations and interactive reveals!

Storyboards

This project allowed me to explore different mechanisms that could trigger the animations— I considered the age range of the audience, sound design, illustrative style, sequence of events, and how the user would interact with the final illustration.
